Snap-a-Slip is a WhatsApp-based receipt capture and expense tracking service for South African freelancers and small businesses. Snap a photo of any slip and it becomes a categorised, structured expense record, ready for your books.

SA freelancers and small businesses who want expense tracking without opening a separate app or wrestling with a receipt-scanning UI. If you can send a WhatsApp photo, you can use Snap-a-Slip.
What makes it different
The WhatsApp layer receives the photo. A pipeline of Google Cloud Vision OCR plus Claude-powered LLM extraction pulls the vendor, line items, date, total, VAT, and category out of even a crumpled till slip. Records store cleanly in Postgres. Images archived to cloud storage with signed URLs.
